about

Split between Extreme Volume Pop and Bjarnsreicht (Jason Keith Hembree)

And now to the “Suffocation Artist.”

A tall, skinny young man, rather handsome, comes in, and I make to explain to him about comercialism, capitalism, how the masses are jerked around “like a bunch of rats in a maze, go here, go here, buy those, vote this way…”

He smiles, a little uncomprehendingly, puts his arm around me. The next thing I know, he’s on top of me, holding my nose closed, but real polite for all of that. I can’t fight this character; he’s strong like something from a bad work of fiction.

He gets up. I’m out of breath, gasping really. But I understand this is the way he works. Little by little suffocating you, stealing your breath, holding closed your air passages with rough fingers, playing a game called “go to sleep, go to sleep forever.”

But, since we are classmates, I suppose there’s no escape for me. He is always polite, even compassionate and loving. However, he’ll kill me eventually, steal my breath and leave me growing cold some morning, when they find me, assuming I simply “died in my sleep.”

So watch out for such characters, sidle up to you real coy and lovely,
and all of a sudden, they’re holding a hand over your mouth, pinching your nostrils shut. They get their kicks, their poison, their “feed” vicariously, off of your eventual, untimely demise. And they play this cat-and-mouse shit to the hilt.

Hopefully, my various musics are ultimately like magic bullets that enter and impact at the base of the skull, ricochet around the brain chamber, and then leave a gaping exit wound in the forehead. You may hate them
