Once, several years ago, when I was trying to complete a book of ghost stories, I ran across an unmarked CD and popped it into the player in curiosity. I discovered a number of haunting, unsettling tracks;very minimal ambient electronic pieces with a sort of haunting, repetitious character to them. The stuff was eerie and otherworldly. I fought to remember where I had gotten the disc, until I remembered that it was the work of my friend Abe Sandoval, who I once played in a punk rock band with, decades ago. The stuff was so good, it helped inspire my paranormal writing for the rest of the night, and I was so impressed that I submitted the tracks to Smell the Stench net label for release. I am still haunted whenever I hear these particular experimental pieces.

Now I have done remixes of some of those tracks, in homage to my old friend. I hope that he (and by extension YOU) will enjoy them, and find them as unsettling as I did on that night, many years ago. may they haunt your sleep, as well as trouble your ears. C'est la vie! --Tom Baker, Aug. 2014.
